Cuphea anagalloidea

The striking red colour on the upper side of the submersed leaves is most intensive under strong light, and it can look like it was brushed on. The red leaves often have small green spots.

Flowers typically last only one day, but a frequent flowering plant in summer. This tropical American plant can compete with native water lilies and its compact nature is attractive for nano cisterns.

A low maintenance, compact floating plant with regular flowering. Best growth & flowering usually occurs in shallow water & under full sunlight.

This plant can be used in terrarium or paludarium. It does not survive submerged for more than a few months.

Nutrient rich substrate is required for this plant which grows large. Suitable for large aquariums.

Bright to Medium light is required for the plant to grow well in the aquarium.
