A hardy mid-ground plant which has to be pruned regularly to keep compact. Low nitrates with high phosphate will make the plant reddish.

The long thin shaped leaves of this plant makes it ideal for midground or background of the aquarium.

Can be grown under various aquarium conditions but will look more attractive with bright light and CO2

Pogostemon stellatus 'dassen' -Purple

Requires very bright light, CO2 injection and adequate nutrient dosing for this plant to do well in the aquarium.

This plant is not very hard to keep, but will do best with CO2 injection. Multiply by lateral shoots.
