‘Anubias gracilis’ is one of the larger varieties in Anubias. In nature, it grows on the banks of rainforest rivers of West Africa. Have long-stalked spade-shaped green color leaves and may grow to 12 inches (30 cm) in length. This Anubias is a hardy, undemanding, robust plant, recommendable for beginner aquariums as well as cichlid tanks. This can also be grown emersed in paludariums / terrariums / phytospheres / Wabikusa etc.

The best method to plant this epiphyte in aquariums is tying it on a piece of driftwood /rough stone/tree root with a dark cotton thread or fishing line to attach the plant until the roots hold the material. This also can be planted in the bottom layer, but make sure not to cover the rhizome from which leaves and roots grow otherwise the plant will rot and die.

In the aquarium, they should be placed in shaded areas & light nutrient requirement is advised.
